BOOKWORKS RENOVATION - IDEAS WANTED!

The time has come to upgrade our aging building and reevaluate our offerings. Help us reimagine our beloved store for the next 42 years.  What do you want to see? More... gathering space? magazines? snacks? gifts? toys? cards? Now is the time to speak up.

The plan as of now is to close as late as feasible in December and open as early as possible in June. There will be a second story and new basement for downtown living space, but we intend to reassemble most of the store with the exact shelves and exact feel we all love.

Please email ideas, thoughts, and concerns to wendy@nantucketbookworks.com, and join Wendy at Mitchell's at 10 am Monday Sept. 29.

The big news the weekend of Sept 26-28 was The Nantucket Project.

We are Water - Wally Lamb

We are Not OurselvesWe are Not Ourselves
by Matthew Thomas

Destined to be a classic, this “powerfully moving” (Chad Harbach, The Art of Fielding), multigenerational debut novel of an Irish-American family is nothing short of a “masterwork” (Joshua Ferris, Then We Came to the End).

Find We are Not Ourselves at Mitchell's, 54 Main Street, where it's 20% off. Support your local island bookstore and order it from us at our online shop.
